Swimmers from Watford Swimming Club (WSC) triumphed at the county championships last month, returning with 134 medals.
The 62 swimmers headed to the 2023 Swim England Hertfordshire County Championships over three weekends in February and secured 49 gold, 44 silver and 41 bronze medals.
In addition, several swimmers received trophies in their age group, including two first place trophies.
Monty Brewster took home first place for the boys 10-11 category and Raffy May took home the trophy for the boys 15 category.
The club has also recently welcomed new coaches, including Jamie Irvine as head coach and Tom Sullivan as junior competitive squad coach.
Chairman of WSC Gareth Harper is proud of the achievements and is eager to emphasise it’s a team effort that has helped create an environment that allows the swimmers to excel.
He said: “We want to build on this success but also maintain an environment that enables local children to compete at all different levels of competition.”
WSC is seeking new members across all its squads. For more information, please get in touch via email at info@watfordswimmingclub.co.uk
