A sculpture entitled In Safe Hands is being auctioned off to raise money for the NHS.
The work by British sculptor Charles Elliott is on show alongside the A41, near his studio at Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire. It is illuminated during the evening and night.
Charles created a zinc galvanised sphere inside a pair of hands to represent the efforts of volunteers and health workers in the UK and across the world.
The sculpture, which is 165cm by 165cm, is expected to last over 35 years.
The auction begins tomorrow/Friday at half past nine in the morning and will go onto Friday 1 May at 8pm.
All the proceeds will go to the COVID-19 Urgent Appeal NHS Charity.
