The family favourite Watford Santa Dash event is returning for its 8th edition next month.
Taking place in Cassiobury Park on Sunday, December 1, the event is open to people of all ages and abilities and includes a chip-timed 5k and an accessible 1k Fun Run.
Watford’s Santa Dash is famous for the diversity of costumes, including Santas, elves, fairies and even grinches. There will be prizes for the best-dressed runners, and all participants will receive a medal.
Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden are the race’s headline sponsors, and all the money raised goes to local learning disability charity Watford Mencap.
Mencap fundraising manager Michelle Hamilton said: “The Santa Dash aims to raise much-needed funds to provide vital services and activities for local children and adults with learning disabilities.
“We are grateful to everyone who supports us throughout the year – we couldn’t do what we do without them. But Christmas is an extra special time to help other people.”
