A Girlguiding volunteer who has worked in Hemel Hempstead for more than 50 years is celebrating a well-deserved retirement.
In that time, Pam Boughton has held various volunteer roles. She set up 1st Grovehill Brownies in 1971, which is still going today, and was district commissioner three times. She was also involved in the West Herts Guide shop for 40 years, where she spent most of that time as depot manager.
To celebrate Pam’s retirement, a surprise party was held to recognise her commitment and contributions to Girlguiding.
A spokesperson for Girlguiding Hertfordshire said: “Congratulations to Pam for her dedication to Girlguiding in Hemel Hempstead and Hertfordshire. Thanks for being an inspiration to us all!”
