STOP AND SEARCH: Chorleywood motorist handed 20-month ban for drink driving

A motorist from Chorleywood was caught by police officers driving twice the drink driving limit and in possession of cocaine. 

Due to the manner of driving, Milo Patel, 23, of Berks Hill, was stopped by police officers in Church Street, Rickmansworth on Thursday April 29.

After a search, police found a wrap with white powder, which was later confirmed to be cocaine. He was arrested and charged.

Milo appeared at St Albans Magistrates Court on Friday June 4.

At court, Patel was disqualified from driving for 20 months, ordered to pay a £250 fine, a victim surcharge of £45 and £85 costs.

Additionally, he was fined £200 for being in possession of a class A drug.

An order was also made for the destruction of the drugs.
