Published on: 10th February 2021   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Dacorum Borough Council is working in partnership with The Chatty Café Scheme to offer Virtual Chatty Cafes for anyone aged 18+ in Dacorum who would like to have a chatter and a natter with others to brighten their day.

The Chatty Café Scheme was started to help bring people together and the Dacorum Virtual Chatty Cafes will be run weekly by a member of the Chatty Café Team on Zoom.

The cafes are a relaxed and informal way to chat with and connect with others in the area, which in turn reduces loneliness and supports wellbeing.

A Chatty Café participant, said: “The Chatty Café has helped me feel part of a community, so important when we are being told to stay at home.”

Anyone who would like to join the weekly Chatty Cafes can email Jenny at The Chatty Café Scheme for the Zoom link.

The Chatty Café for all adults (18+) will run each Monday from 1-1.30pm, starting on February 15.

The Chatty Café for 18-30-year-olds will run every Wednesday from 1-1.30pm, starting on February 17.

Email jenny@thechattycafescheme.co.uk for more information and for the Zoom link.

A member of The Chatty Café Team said: “Human connection is so important to us as humans, as important as air and water. Make yourself a cuppa and come and join us for a 30 minute chat every week. We promise you will feel better after.”
