Published on: 19th August 2022   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

St Albans School is celebrating many individual successes in this year’s A-Level results.

Forty-three per cent of qualifications taken by St Albans School Sixth Formers this year have been awarded the top A* grade and 76 per cent have been A* or A grades.

Three candidates have achieved five A* grades.

Eighteen candidates have achieved at least 4 A* grades and 41 candidates (over one-quarter of the schools’ entry) have gained at least 3 A* grades.

Sixty-six candidates gained at least two A* grades and 103 candidates gained at least one A*.

Headmaster Jonathan Gillespie said: “Our A Level candidates have displayed tremendous resilience over the last two extraordinary years – I commend them for their fortitude and congratulate them on the excellent results that many have achieved.

“We are providing close support and guidance for those candidates whose plans have unfortunately not come to fruition. Examinations grades are only a small element of the many holistic benefits of a St Albans education: our leavers can now step forward into the adult world confident that the learning skills and values they have developed during their time with us will stand them in good stead for their future, both at university and in the professional world.

“We wish them every personal happiness and success in the future.”
