This year’s Pinner panto evening has been described as the best yet as huge numbers once again turned out.
As one of the main highlights in the Pinner calendar crowds flocked to the event held on November 28 with this year a special Elton John celebration.
Pinner’s most famous former resident wasn’t in attendance, but he did take time to thank the community for their support.
In a recorded video Elton John said: “Pinner, I am so sorry I can’t be with you but thank you for all your love and support.
“You’re an essential part of my story and I am so proud I come from Pinner and you’ll always be close to my heart.”
The Pinner Pantomime Evening itself saw musical entertainment from local schools and community groups, rides for children, street entertainers, fireworks and the switch on of Pinner’s Christmas lights.
Supported widely by local businesses the town was turned into a festive Elton John wonderland and some in attendance claimed it to be the best yet.
Julie Gregor told My Pinner News: “I went with my husband and kids and we absolutely loved it
“We go every year, but this was the best yet for me. I love Christmas and I love Elton John so what’s not to love.
“We are lucky to have such a great event every year in Pinner.”
Pinner Panto committee member, Delia Cazzato also hailed the event. She said: “It was a great event and I enjoyed it like so many others in Pinner.”
