Five teens from Croxley took home medals at taekwondo tournaments last month.
Not long after her performance with Total TKD at Croxley Revels, 17-year-old Sadie Taylor came first in a sparring competition held on Sunday, July 7.
Currently one grade away from her black belt, Sadie has trained with Total TKD since the age of seven. She now trains twice a week at Yorke Mead Primary School and even coaches younger martial artists alongside coach master and former European champion, Nick Symonds, who is on his 8th dan.
Meanwhile, another local club, Rusty Taekwondo, put forward four students from Croxley to represent their team at the London Open in Croydon.
Yellow belts Travis Stratford and Alisa Webb came in first place within their respective competitions, and Yann Polyakov finished second. Blue belt Isaac Webb also scooped a silver medal.
Coach Russell Lesser said: “Each student came up against competitors who were either older or with a high belt ranking, yet they all came home with medals.”
