A Watford church is fundraising after the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) expansion has accelerated the need for a new minibus.
For more than 40 years, Stanborough Park Soup-Run Ministry, led by Pat Walton, has supported thousands of people in the local community, offering meals, hot drinks, hygiene kits, and clothing to those experiencing homelessness and vulnerability.
They are now in the process of fundraising £15,000 for a new minibus to ensure they are able to continue to reach and support those in need.
On their GoFundMe page, they state: “It is now time for a crucial upgrade. Our goal is to raise £15,000 to acquire a new ULEZ-compliant minibus, allowing us to allocate resources more effectively.
“Investing in a new minibus is a strategic step towards providing essential services to our community’s most vulnerable. Your partnership and financial support will help us continue to impact and reach even more lives.”
