The relocation for The Reach Free School has announced its permanent site at Rickmansworth today. The Head of Terms have now been agreed on the schools bespoke, permanent site on Long Lane in Rickmansworth. Richard Booth, Head teacher, commented: “I am very pleased to finally be able to announce where our school’s forever home will be – Back in the heart of the community we set out to serve from day one. “From the outset it was our clear goal to create a new secondary school, which meets the needs of the children living in Mill End, Maple Cross and Rickmansworth by delivering greater access to excellent education – now we will be able to do that on their doorstep.” The central point for admissions to The Reach Free School will remain as the Mill end sports and Social Club in Penn Road. This ensures that the pupils will be admitted based on the distance they live from that point opposed to the location of temporary site. This approach reaffirms the school’s Governing Body’s commitment to providing a school for the Mill End, Maple Cross and Rickmansworth community. The final Opening and build of the school still remains subject to final ministerial approval, exchange and completion of contracts and planning consent.
