‘Shop Local in Pinner’ is the message of an initiative started by local people to help the community through the pandemic.
Prompted by the number of Pinner shops and hospitality businesses using Facebook, some local residents have started a page on the social media platform facebook.com/ShopLocalinPinner
The aim of using it is to share the latest news about what people can shop for and where to eat, drink and get things done, all locally in Pinner.
Local resident Elizabeth Thorp said: “The shops, hospitality and other service businesses which we all see as we walk round Pinner make a huge contribution to life in this area, and between them they provide an enormous range of goods and services. It is tremendous that so much is available right on our doorsteps here in Pinner.
“Particularly in this recession, it is absolutely a case of ‘Use them or lose them’. So, it has been really great to see how the message to ‘Shop local in Pinner’ is resonating with local people, and the Pinner Association is being an enormous help in spreading the word.”
