A Pinner resident was completely shocked to see his garden, that he’s been working on for a number of years, featured in Gardeners’ World recently for their 2020 Garden of the Year competition, after he sent his story into them.
Prakash Daswani MBE, and his wife Joanne’s, back garden in Pinner was among those featured out of the more than 1,000 gardens that were received.
In his piece to Gardener’s World, Prakash said: “Over the last 25 years or more, our garden has truly been a haven of peace and delight for us as a family, and for those dear to us when they visit us in our home in Pinner.
“The garden perpetually connects us to what seems like the endless generosity of nature, commanding our respect and admiration for its pulsating abundance.”
Prakash admitted to PinnerNews that he was completely shocked to find out their garden had been selected.
He said: “I was completely surprised that we managed to get featured in a national competition to beat off 1,000 entrants. We were both very touched and moved that something we invested in has been appreciated.”
