A woman has been convicted of theft, criminal damage and a racially aggravated offence regarding an altercation she had with staff at a Watford chemist.

Kobie Frankham, 32, of Pilgrims Way, Laverstock, Salisbury, appeared at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 18.

The offences took place at a Boots store on October 19, 2021. She had been caught by staff stealing items, at which point she began arguing with them. When the shop manager confronted her, she threw stolen moisturiser at him, causing criminal damage to his £300 Hugo Boss jacket.

Frankham then swore at the manager, before calling him a racist term.

At the hearing, the judge imposed on Frankham an 18-month community order and a £150 fine that she must pay as compensation to the victim.
