Published on: 18th April 2019   |   By: Charlie Reynolds   |   Category: Uncategorized

New recording artist Sammie Hicks is living her very own dream as she has been signed by record label, Uniq.

The 25-year-old, from Kings Langley, is excited to be working with Uniq and plans to release some of her own music within the next couple of months.

She said: “I have been working on new music for about a year now. It’s all been so exciting since I got signed but very manic.

“There has been lots of different parts which I didn’t think about but I am enjoying every second of it. We are looking at launching some of my new music as soon as possible.”

The former Kings Langley Secondary pupil started singing at 11 and explained why she fell in love with music.

She said: “I fell in love with music because you can just lose yourself. No matter what is going on in your life or whatever you are going through, there is always a song that helps you express how you are feeling.

“I started it as a hobby at first, then started teaching it and soon realised I wanted to do it for the rest of my life.”

The pop, R&B and soul type artist will be performing local gigs in the near future and is aiming for long term goal of eventually going on tour.

Sammie also revealed the possibility of having a few gigs internationally at her family restaurant in Finland and in her dad’s hometown, Italy.
