A major multi-vehicle road collision has taken place on the A41 between Kings Langley and Hemel Hempstead this morning (August 21).
Police were called to the road, approaching Junction 20 to the M25, at around 10.11am. Officers are currently at the scene assessing the situation, with colleagues from the ambulance, air ambulance and fire service also on site.
A spokesperson for Herts Police has said: “Road closures are in place and motorists are urged to avoid the area where possible, and long delays are expected.”
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Service stated: “Firefighters are working to release several injured people from vehicles and assisting the ambulance service with casualty care.”
