“They represented RPS brilliantly, and we could not be prouder”, were the words from Radlett Preparatory School (RPS) as their pupils grabbed the opportunity of going head-to-head with surrounding schools in a French Poetry Recital Competition.

Haberdashers Boys (Habs Boys), Haberdashers Girls (Habs Girls), Edge Grove and Highgate School took part alongside RPS in a tres bien head-to-head, which proved thoroughly enjoyable for all who took part.

The children made their mark on the judges, as they were left impressed with their command of the French language, delivering their poems with confidence, expression and poise.

All pupils were congratulated for their hard work and dedication towards the competition, but it was the RPS Year Four team, Lara, William and Aaron, who achieved first place for their year group across all schools involved.

A spokesperson for RPS said: “We are immensely proud of every one of our pupils. Continuez ainsi!”
