Members of Abbots Langley Bowling Club are looking forward to another successful season of competition.
Over the winter months, the club made a significant financial commitment to improve the playing surface by engaging the services of professional green keepers.
The members are delighted with the improvements already evident on the playing surface.
The club plans to open the green for the summer during the third week of April.
As is now tradition, the club will also open on Tuesday evenings from 6pm so any potential new members can visit the club and see everything it has to offer.
Honorary secretary Steve Tincknell said: “The club are always looking to encourage more people to try the game.
“You will be guaranteed a warm welcome. Whether you have played before or are a complete novice, experienced members will be on hand to give advice.
“We also hold a stock of bowls for new members to borrow. All we request is that flat shoes i.e. trainers are worn.”
The club continue to strive to be a part of village life and will once again play a role at the Abbots Langley Festival by holding an event in June with full details available closer to the event.
The bowling club is located in Langley Road to the rear of the Scout building. For further information about the club or to confirm opening dates and times please email sec.albc@gmail.com
