A physiotherapist from Abbots Langley will run the London Marathon for Spinal Research UK.
Natalie Tur is one of a team of four who have been busy training and fundraising for the London Marathon in April 2024.
Natalie held a fundraiser at Abbots Langley Club on November 18, in which attendees placed bets on horses before watching televised recordings of races. Those who bet on the winning horses were able to claim their winnings whilst raising funds for Spinal Research UK. In total, £1,000 was raised from the evening.
Natalie is a physiotherapist who has worked with people with spinal cord injuries and has previously worked at the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. As a result, she says that choosing to support them is “very personal”.
The other three members of the team – Jamie Parsons, Toby Parker and Tom McCormack – all work for GD Construction in St Albans.
The team are working towards raising £1,800 each for the charity. To donate, visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Natalie-Turner40
