A Garston café was selected to receive a prize of £250 in a lottery run by Watford Borough Council.
Random Café in Garston has been announced as one of the winners of the Watford Community Lottery. The café aims to save food from landfill and educate consumers about sustainability.
Watford Community Lottery is a weekly lottery which raises money for good local causes, with at least 60 per cent from each ticket sold helping to support the community.
Speaking to GARSTONnews, a spokesperson for Random Café said: “This weekend, one of our supporters won £250 in the Warford Community Lottery. Congratulations to them and a huge thank you for all the support we’ve received.
“Random Café turned seven years old on August 1 and we wouldn’t still be here without our volunteers, customers and supporters.
“The money we received from the Community Lottery helps us keep going and continue what we do, and I know that all the worthy causes that are supported by the lottery appreciate every penny.”
