Two young promising stars from a local Chalfonts swimming club recently competed in the recent British and English Swimming Nationals.
At the event, which took place in Sheffield between August 2 and 6, the Chalfont Otters club were represented by Noah Wheeler, 16, in the freestyle, and Ethan Richards-Knight, 15, in the butterfly.
The two Chalfont teens had been preparing for the British Nationals since January of this year to make their club head coach, Balazs Sasvari, proud.
Ahead of the competition, coach Sasvari said: “They worked extremely hard all season to be able to perform well at the highest level.
“The preparation went really well so far so I am very optimistic and excited for the biggest age group swimming competition of the year.”
Qualifying for the British Nationals is a huge feat, with only the top 24 swimmers in the country being selected for each event.
