The co-manager of Chalfont St Peter AFC has praised the club and his players following their end of season awards.
After a year which saw the club steer itself clear of the Combined Counties League Premier Division North relegation zone, the club held its player awards on Saturday, May 27.
Michael East, who has co-managed the club with Liam Dwyer since January, spoke to CHALFONTS&GERRARDSCROSSnews about the players.
Speaking of Young Player of the Season winner Tecane Shrowder, he said: “He’s got a big future in the game. He’s in home about five different positions, and to be as grounded as he is with the talent he’s got is so unusual.”
Of top scorer and Manager’s Player of the Season Josh Keane Quinlivan, he said: “He was our first signing, and he’s made the team tick. He has always delivered.”
Of Players’ Player of the Season, James Evans, he said: “We’ve seen a real evolution in him this year, from boy to man. He’s Chalfont through and through.”
As for his and Liam’s future plans for the club, Michael said: “When we came in, the job was to keep them up. Now we want to put our stamp on things.”
