Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a vehicle break-in in Radlett.

On Thursday, April 6, between 10.26am and 11.26am, a white Mercedes Vito van which had been parked in Newberries Car Park, Watling Street, was broken into.

A number of power tools were stolen, including several chainsaws, saws and drills.

PC Michael Morris, who is investigating, said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time specified who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have witnessed someone behaving suspiciously in or around the car park, to please get in touch. Any information, even something that may seem relatively minor or insignificant, could be key to progressing our enquiries.

“We would encourage you to always call 999 if you see someone acting suspiciously in the vicinity of your, or any other, vehicle. A crime could potentially be in progress and by calling 999 you are giving us the best possible chance to attend immediately and detain any suspects.”

Anyone with information is asked to please email PC Morris at michael.morris@herts.police.uk
