POLICE APPEAL: Man arrested on suspicion of criminal damage after driving into Bushey park

Officers are appealing for witnesses, information and dashcam footage following an incident in Bushey.

It is reported that around 11.10am on Tuesday, April 2, a black BMW 840Ci was seen driving erratically.

The car had been driven onto the grass at King George Recreation Ground, causing extensive damage to the grass, before the driver exited the vehicle.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

PC Natan Segal, who is investigating, said: “I am appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the BMW driving in the recreation ground or the surrounding areas. If you have a dashcam fitted, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial footage to assist our investigation.
