A paramedic from Bushey has taken on an epic challenge to raise money for a co-worker who was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour.
Robert Lewis cycled from Cardiff to London between May 29 and 31, stopping off at several ambulance stations along the way and raising more than £1,000 for the family.
This is the second time Robert has taken on the challenge in support of his colleague, taking on the ride solo this year.
Speaking to BusheyNews, Robert said he was really pleased with how the ride went and how much he has raised so far.
He said: “A colleague at work was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour and I thought it would be nice to raise some funds for him,
“When I asked him about it, he was so humble and brilliant. I think it’s such a good thing to for somebody and I can’t deny it’s nice to help people.”
