Three teenagers have been arrested following a robbery in Garston.

Police were called at around 5.20pm yesterday (Wednesday, May 17) to a report that two bicycles had been stolen from Garston Park.

It was reported that the victims, both aged 14, were approached by a group of teenagers, some of whom were on mopeds, who stole their bicycles.

Officers attended and conducted a thorough area search, successfully locating the offenders and the suspected stolen property. Two bicycles were recovered, and a moped was seized for forensic purposes.

Three teenagers – a 17-year-old boy, a 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy – were arrested at the scene and taken into police custody, where they remain at this time.

Safer Neighbourhood Team Inspector Dan Jones said: “This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated in Watford, and we have conducted fast-time enquiries in order to identify the offenders and get them in police custody.

“We are continuing with our investigation, and I would ask anyone who believes they may have witnessed the incident, or who has any information about the robbery, to please get in contact with us. Any information, even something that may seem relatively minor or insignificant, could be key to progressing our enquiries.”
