A Berkhamsted author is set to release his second book later this month.
Drawn from experiences from his own life, The Daily News by Alastair McIver is a conspiracy thriller that takes the reader on a journey through the political landscape of Central Asia.
During his time working for the Christian charity Interserve, Alastair travelled to Kyrgyzstan, where he learned about some of the local political challenges.
Now, Alastair is using his platform as an author to explore societal issues.
He explained: “The Daily News is a story of exposure and corruption; a story that tells of the redemption of a group of persecuted people and a story of justice for abused women.
“What I saw in Kyrgyzstan impacted me. If you are gifted a skill like writing, and an unusual life experience, you can share things in your writing that no one will know about it.”
The Daily News will be on sale on Thursday, October 17. Pre-save the book at www.alastairmciver.com or follow @alastairmc5389 on Instagram to keep up to date with the latest news from the author.

I have found The Daily News so good, it was difficult to put it down. Well written and easy to read . Would be good as an audiobook and a film. AWESOME
