St John’s Infant and Primary School in Radlett recently unveiled its new outdoor classroom and Rubik’s Cube bench to hordes of excited pupils.
County councillor Caroline Clapper, who partially funded the build, attended the ceremonial opening on Wednesday, March 6.
The outdoor classroom features seating around the whole space and benches in the middle where pupils can sit with their workbooks.
There is also a ‘Tuff Tray’ full of toy animals for children to play with during break time.
Headteacher Alice Aharon hopes that the children will enjoy using the new space for both educational and recreational purposes.
The build was also sponsored by the school’s parent support group, while a number of the pupils organised a sponsored run to help raise funds.
