A “horrendous” industrial storage company will finally be forced to close after an 18-month campaign by Bushey Lib Dem councillors.
All Storage London (ASL), on Bushey Hall Road, had attracted scores of complaints from residents about noise and disruption from heavy goods vehicles.
There were also concerns over environmental damage, removal of vegetation, and pollution into the nearby River Colne.
The firm had no planning permission for its operations.
Hertsmere Borough Council brought forward enforcement action, but ASL lodged an appeal, which has now been dismissed by the national Planning Inspector.
This means they must now leave the site and restore it to its previous condition by February 2026.
Speaking to BUSHEYnews, Bushey North councillor Louise Nicolas said: “This horrendous storage operation, with its noise and dangerous lorries, has blighted a quiet residential neighbourhood for far too long. Thank goodness the nightmare will now come to an end.”
