The local community recently came together for an annual cycling festival.
The Tour de Ricky 2025 kicked off at Woodoaks Farm on Saturday, May 31. The event featured three cycling routes of 50km, 100km and 200km, as well as shorter rides led by local cycling group SPOKES.
Hundreds of cyclists joined in with the challenges, and many more came to Woodoaks to enjoy the range of activities on offer, including crafts and a children’s obstacle course.
Posting on Facebook after the event, Woodoaks Farm said: “Tour de Ricky is now firmly on the cycling calendar and behind the scenes are a whole raft of volunteers… We salute you all and say thank you! These things take tenacity, planning, energy and passion – you’re all superstars!
“Huge thank you too to team Tour De Ricky – headed up by new man in the saddle Dave Morrison, Watford Cycle Hub, Spokes Cycling Group – South West Herts, Three Rivers District Council, Shop Mobility, Woodoaks Volunteers, Rob with his drone, and Specialized who supported the event and the cyclists on the day.”
Tour de Ricky will return in 2026, with tickets going on sale in December 2025.
