A Watford band has won the chance to perform at the iconic food and music festival Pub in the Park in St Albans.
The up-and-coming band BEAF., which was formed at West Herts College, emerged victorious from the Battle of the Bands event held at The Horn on August 17.
Besting three other top local bands, BEAF. will now get the chance to join top artists such as Craig David, Rudimental and Sam Ryder at the popular event in Verulamium Park on September 8 to 10.
Russell Phillips, one of the judges, said: “We’re so excited to be showcasing local talent and we can’t wait to see BEAF. take to the big stage doing what they do best. Having seen their amazing performance at Battle of the Bands, we know they’ll be great, and we’re thrilled for the local community to see them in action.”
On Instagram, BEAF. said: “We’ve only gone and won Battle of the Bands 2023! It’s an honour to be the last of 64 bands standing. It was a pleasure to play this wonderful venue at full capacity and with such an amazing crowd.”
