Thames Valley Police (TVP) have been braving the rain and carrying out speed checks in Little Chalfont.
On October 8, two drivers were reported on Elizabeth Ave, with 39mph being the highest speed recorded.
Six drivers were instead reported on Cokes Lane, the highest speed was 42mph.
Speaking to ChalfontsNews, a spokesperson from TVP said: “Speeding has been identified by the community as a local priority and the neighbourhood policing team have been co-ordinating the police response to this.
“One of the ways to tackle speeding is to carry out regular speed checks with our Special Constabulary colleagues.
“The locations of these speed checks are determined by contact from residents.
“Drivers found exceeding the speed limit and who meet the threshold for prosecution are reported at the roadside.
“This report is then forwarded to the Fixed Penalty Support Unit who contact those drivers.”
