Watford FC are still searching for that first crucial win of the season following a bore draw at home to Bournemouth.
The Hornets created very little scoring chances at Vicarage Road this afternoon (October 26) as Bournemouth were unlucky not to steal all three points.
With strikers Troy Deeney, Danny Welbeck and Isaac Success all missing, it was down to Gerard Deulofeu and Roberto Pereyra up front for The Hornets to bring some scoring prowess into the side, however the lack of goalscoring opportunities stopped all hope of that happening.
Watford had three shots on target with Deulofeu and Will Hughes having the best of the three chances, but Bournemouth keeper Aaron Ramsdale pulled off two superb saves to keep The Cherries in the game.
As the match reached the final 10 minutes, Bournemouth put Ben Foster under pressure but Watford managed to keep the visitors at bay.
Fans have already expressed their anger on social media at the performance stating; “Can’t see a win coming anytime soon”, “another horrendously negative, diabolical performance”, and “we are relegation material if this carry’s on”.
Manager Quique Sanchez Flores will rally the players once again for Tuesdays (October 29) EFL Cup match away at Everton in the hope of another glorious cup run, but where it matters most, they sit bottom of the Premier League table without a win.
