The Natural History Museum at Tring is delighted to announce a series of events for children with neurodiverse conditions.
SENDsational Mornings offer children with conditions such as autism and other sensory processing difficulties the chance to take part in activities and visit the gallery with their families, away from the overstimulating crowds of the general public.
The event is best for children aged between five and 15, and siblings are also welcome.
Visitors can enjoy access to specimen handling, crafting, a gallery trail, and access to outdoor space in a safe environment supported by experienced and autism-aware facilitators. Throughout August, the theme is ‘Oceans’.
Those who sign up will receive an email with more information about their visit a week in advance. On the day, a programme and map will be provided.
Booking is essential, with the event taking place from 10am to 12pm from August 18 to November 10. To find out more, head to www.nhm.ac.uk/events/sendsational-mornings-tring.html
