A Northwood resident has been busy filming a special star-studded programme about mental health for children, set to be released in the new year.
Sallyann Keizer is managing director for Sixth Sense Media and has also volunteered with a number of mental health charities for the past 15 years.
Speaking to Northwood & Rusilip News about how the programme came about, Sallyann said: “A man called Robert Fraser has been on a mission to help young people with their mental health.
“Now, he’s got six of the country’s leading mental health charities to get together for this show.
“This programme is key to all that I do, and it’ll hopefully empower young people and give them the tools to help themselves. It’s an honour to do this.”
The show, filmed on December 12 and targeted at young people aged 11 to 14, is part of the Here for You campaign and will launch in February 2024.
Funded by Disney, the 30-minute programme is hosted by Roman Kemp alongside musical guest Tom Grennan and TV presenter Dr Ranj Singh, all discussing their mental health journeys.
The programme will be sent to 4,000 secondary schools across the country for education purposes, and plans for it to be streamed on BBC iPlayer and ITVX are ongoing.
