There are reports of severe delays after a person was hit by a train at Bushey station earlier today (Monday, August 11).
The police were called following reports of a casualty on the tracks at around 7.30am this morning.
Officers attended alongside members of the ambulance service. It was reported the person was taken to hospital with “potentially life changing injuries” but the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
The London Northwestern Railway, London Overground, Southern, and Avanti West Coast lines were all blocked as emergency services responded.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police confirmed: “We were called to Bushey and Oxhey station shortly before 7.30am this morning following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Officers attended along with paramedics and a person was taken to hospital with potentially life changing injuries.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
