A food bank which has opened in Apsley to support residents has triumphed so far with the generosity from the community.
The food bank located in St Mary’s Church which is ran in partnership with All Saints’ Church, was set up last month and open on Thursdays from 9.30am to 3pm has received a wealth of donations so far.
Kings Langley Parish Council councillor Andrew Hubberstey spoke to KingsNews about the generosity from the community and in particular the staff at Dunelm who offered to be a donation point for collections.
He said: “The big heart-warming element is the generosity of people with donations. Dunelm have stepped in and offered to help with collection.
“One day I picked up two trolley loads from Dunelm. Massive shout out to them.”
Donations to the food bank at All Saints’ Church, Kings Langley, St Mary’s Apsley (Thursdays Only) and at Dunelm Apsley, during Click and Collect hours.
