A resident has written to ABBOTSnews to share their views on a proposed new development in the village.
Three Rivers District Council’s (TRDC) planning portal reveals plans submitted this year for the demolition of 24 existing apartments and the erection of 43 apartments and a three-bed dwelling house at 22-33 and 40-51 Summerhouse Way.
Abbots Langley resident Chris Adair has spoken out about the plans, and wants to share his views in order to protect the area’s local heritage.
Chris said: “These walking routes are where families and people walk or jog throughout the summer and winter. The views are spectacular in the morning, whilst the sun rises and the wildlife is vibrant with the sounds of the woodpeckers.
“Have we got the correct amount of infrastructure, schools, doctors, hospital and emergency services to support another overdose of houses in Abbots Langley?”
Abbots Langley Parish Council has been contacted for comment.
