LITTLE VOICE: Kings Langley theatre group’s new show promises ‘high emotion and high drama’

Kings Langley Players (KLP) are preparing for their latest production of the acclaimed play, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice.

The show tells the story of LV, a shy and reclusive young woman with a fantastic singing voice. Her mother falls for a seedy agent, who exploits LV in the hope that she’ll be his ticket to the big time.

The show’s director, Andrew Knight, told KINGSnews: “This is one of the most ambitious projects that KLP have done for some time, and I feel, as a director, that this is one of my biggest ambitions to date.

“KLP are not afraid of challenges, and this has something for everyone; laughter, sadness, musicality, high emotion, and high drama.

“You will leave the theatre hopefully wanting more. Although the ending is dramatic, sad and powerful (without giving too much away for those who haven’t seen it before), it is also very heartfelt.”

The show will run for three nights at the Theatre@TheNap between Thursday, May 16, and Saturday, May 18, with each performance beginning at 7.45pm. To book tickets, call the KLP box office on 0333 666 3366 or visit the website.
