Croxley residents have taken to social media to complain about the amount of litter that has been left in the village’s public spaces.
Several people have posted in the Croxley Green Facebook group about the littering situation recently, with some residents also reporting the issue to CROXLEYnews.
On August 19, Matthew David posted these images of the local football pitches and cricket fields, stating: “If you know your kids have been playing up at the football/cricket pitch today, please have a word and ask if this was them.
“There is absolutely no reason for anyone to be that lazy and leave their rubbish in our green space.”
Images were also posted of rubbish strewn over Barton Way playground, with food packaging, a half-drunk two-litre bottle of Pepsi Max and a pair of sunglasses among the many items left behind.
Croxley resident Diana Desmond stated: “The parks are being left in an awful state. Empty bottles, cups, litter, etc.
“There was lots of broken glass by the skate park on Baldwins Lane two weeks ago, which is very dangerous, especially for dogs.”
Residents are asking people to be respectful of the area, clean up any waste and teach their children to do the same.
