A team of 16 members from across Girlguiding Hertfordshire enjoyed the opportunity to explore India over 12 days this summer.
This included Emma, one of the young leaders from the Radlett District, who stayed in Pune with the other members and participated in a leadership programme that involved meeting local families and volunteering
Emma said: “We also got to experience the madness of markets in Pune before adventuring into Delhi and Agra, seeing the Taj Mahal, various other sights, and going to an elephant sanctuary.
“The trip was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I had a great time thanks to our four leaders and the rest of the girls.”
Keeping up with the international theme, three leaders from Radlett District have also been selected to host a County International Trip to Uganda in Africa in 2027.
