A special craft event held at Stanmore Library to celebrate Eid has been hailed as a success.
The event took place on Saturday, April 13, and involved children making and decorating colourful lanterns to celebrate Eid, a joyous occasion that marks the end of Ramadan.
A spokesperson for Stanmore Library said: “The event was very successful and we received really positive feedback from the participants who took part in the event. They were happy to find that their local library has provided an event to celebrate this important occasion for Muslims.
“At Stanmore Library, we like to mark the occasion every year.”

Some activities need to be pre-booked and bookings usually open a week before the event. The library advises that bookings should be made early.
