The Grove hotel in Watford welcomed iconic football players for its annual fundraising golf bash last month.
Tottenham Hotspur players Ossie Ardiles, David Howells and Pat Jennings CBE, plus Wimbledon legend Dave Beasant, all attended the annual event to raise money for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.
The day included golf, lunch and an auction. Among the prizes were signed t-shirts and rounds of golf with the sports stars.
The event raised around £100,000 for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.
David said: “It was a fantastic day. We met some wonderful people, and all for a brilliant cause in supporting the work done by Noah’s Ark.”
Also at the event was Roscoe Mahoney, who along with his wife and 12-year-old twins Ray and Arthur, has been supported by the charity.
Sophie Andrews OBE, CEO of the hospice, said: “We had such a wonderful day. It was great for all our generous supporters to hear a personal story from a dad who spoke very movingly about the support his family receives from Noah’s Ark.”
