There is great cause for celebration at St Albans Ladies Cricket Club as an unbeaten season has led to victory in the Home Counties Women’s Cricket League.
The team won the division three title after they were victorious against Tring Park Cricket Club at a match on Sunday, September 13.
This is not the only cause for celebration, because this eight-wicket victory also means that the team have been promoted to division two of the league.
A post on St Albans Cricket Club Facebook page congratulated the team for their fantastic victory.
The post said: “Awesome result for the ladies. An unbeaten season and moving up to division 2 next year.
“It is great to see the squad developing. We’ve had some quality cricketers join, adding to the group of talented youngsters that have through the Colts setup.
“Already looking forward to seeing what can be achieved next year!”
The Home Counties Women’s Cricket League also posted on Facebook to celebrate the match.
The post said: “Well done to both St Albans Cricket Club and Tring Park but congratulations to St Albans CC for winning the #HCWCL Division 3 title.”
