As the Abbots Langley Tough Ten (ALTT) draws ever closer, runners are encouraged to sign up before it’s too late.
The annual race takes place on Sunday, October 5, starting from the Manor House Grounds on Gallows Hill Lane. There is something for everyone with a 10k, 5k, and 3k, as well as a 1k fun run.
Fiona Packman, chair of the organising committee, said: “There are a variety of different distances again this year, and there is really no experience necessary.
“The shorter distances are ideally suited for those who aren’t sure they could manage 5k or 10k, and the good news is they don’t have to run all the way.”
Organisers are also looking for teams of four to compete for the Special Services Trophy, designed to recognise local services in the community such as the police, fire service and the NHS.
Fiona added: “The trophy has a regular place in the event, as local police were integral to getting the event up and running. We would really like to see a few more teams enter this year to provide them with a little more competition this year.”
