Two men who kidnapped a man by throwing him into the back of a car in front of shocked on-lookers have been jailed for 11 years each.
Lee Osei, 38, of Priory Close, Stanmore, and Christopher Cook, 31, of no fixed abode, attacked the man in Wood Green, before forcing him into a silver car and driving off at around 12.49am on October 4, 2017.
A few hours later, at 2.20am Osei returned to the scene of the crime. He then went back again at 5am, where he was arrested.
The 47-year-old victim was then found in High Road, Barnet, at 11am on October 5, fighting for his life.
Cook was later arrested in Bounds Green Road, Wood Green.
The victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for fractures, swelling and a broken ankle, but has since recovered for his injuries.
The kidnappers were sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court on June 18 after they had been convicted of GBH and kidnapping on April 6.
Cook was also convicted of possession of a Class A drug.
Detective Constable Simon Phillips said: “We are delighted to have secured this conviction for what was an abhorrent incident that left the victim with life-threatening injuries.
“We hope this will serve as a reminder that such violence will not be tolerated on the streets of London.”
