Skydiving into action, a much-loved volunteer at Pumpkin’s Wildlife Hospital in Rickmansworth is preparing to take the leap of a lifetime.
Ricci Guinchard has decided to take the plunge to raise funds for the wildlife centre he helped to build with his late son, Jack.
The jump, in Jack’s honour, has already raised over £2,000 for the centre.
All donations will go towards the wildlife hospital, aiming to improve facilities for injured and orphaned wild animals across the local area.
Kirsti Hummel, team lead at Pumpkin’s Wildlife Hospital, said: “Ricci is brilliant and helped a lot in building for us. His son Jack passed away last year he was a keen supporter of the charity. Always extremely grateful for all the help Ricci gives us.”
The skydive is set for Sunday, September 14, where Ricci’s family will support him as he dares to take the plunge.
On the JustGiving website, Ricci said: “Life is short — so do the brave, kind things while you can.”
