Have you ever wondered what it would be like to think like a judo champion, to twist and turn every obstacle to your advantage?
Author Ben Almond has unlocked the secret of the judo mindset in his new book, Judo Thinking, released last month.
Ben is father to Emma, a pupil at Haberdashers’ Girls’ School in Elstree who featured in the February edition of RADLETTnews after winning a silver medal at the British Judo Championships.
He has blended his experience in martial arts and business to reveal how judo’s core principles and values can be applied to leadership, coaching and personal development.
Ben, a third Dan black belt and qualified judo coach, is the head of performance strategy at Moberly Judo Club in North London and a member of British Judo’s National Coaching Commission.
It was the combination of his judo and business experiences, being a member of the Chartered Institutes of both Accountancy and Real Estate, that led him to write the book.
Karen Roberts, former Olympian and senior member of the British Judo leadership team, wrote a foreword to the book, saying: “The book is an insightful assessment of the interaction between individuals and how we can optimise that interaction for a better experience.”
The book is now available on Amazon. To contact Ben, visit www.judothinking.com
