Parmiter’s School in Garston school has ranked ninth in the Southeast and 138th in the country among all comprehensive schools in The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2026.
Headteacher Anthony Smith said: “I am absolutely thrilled and immensely proud that Parmiter’s School has been recognised once again in The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2026, ranking ninth in the Southeast and 138th nationally among all comprehensive schools.
“This incredible achievement is a testament to the collective efforts of the entire Parmiter’s Family. Our students embody a truly exceptional work ethic. Their dedication, intellectual curiosity, and aspiration to achieve their very best are the foundational reasons for this success. They inspire us every single day. Supported and driven on by our exceptional staff, whose professionalism, unwavering commitment, and innovative approaches to teaching and pastoral care are second to none. They consistently go above and beyond to provide every student with the very best opportunities.
“We are also incredibly fortunate to have such a supportive and engaged parent community. The partnership between home and school is vital, and the encouragement they provide their children ensures they feel empowered and secure as they pursue their academic and personal goals.
“This recognition reflects our core values of community, aspiration, and opportunity. We believe in enabling every individual to grow and flourish, providing the environment for them to realise their full potential.
“Ultimately, this success speaks to the heart of our school motto: Nemo Sibi Nascitur. No one is born unto themselves alone. It is the spirit of collaboration, mutual support, and shared responsibility that defines us.
“It is a profound personal privilege to lead this incredible school, and I could not be prouder to be the headteacher of the Parmiter’s family.”
