A man is due to appear at remand court today (Friday, February 13) charged with a total of eight offenses, including four burglaries in Watford and Three Rivers.
Danny Grealey, aged 49, of Ebberns Road in Hemel Hempstead, has been charged with:
- Dwelling burglary (four counts)
Possessing an offensive weapon in a private dwelling (two counts)
Possession of class A drugs (heroin and cocaine – two counts)
The burglary charges relate to four incidents reported between Tuesday, November 25, 2025 and Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Two of the burglaries occurred in Gallows Hill Lane in Abbots Langley, with the remaining two in Ash Close – also in Abbots Langley – and Fairview Drive in Watford.
Items including jewellery, sunglasses, cash, a kettle, and a microwave were stolen during the burglaries.
The offensive weapon and drugs charges relate to heroin, cocaine, a zombie knife, and an extendable baton, which were all recovered during a police search of an address in Hemel Hempstead.
Grealey is currently remanded in custody and due to appear at Hatfield Remand Court today (Friday, February 13).
Detective Sergeant Darren Machin, from Three Rivers’ Criminal Investigation Department (CID), said: “We are pleased to have secured charges on behalf of the victims in all four burglaries and await the outcome of today’s hearing. Burglary crime causes real harm to our communities, and we treat it with the utmost seriousness.”
